Our hosting, security and application providers may also process limited technical data such as IP address, browser information, request logs and device information where this is necessary to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.

3. Why we use your information

We use personal information only for relevant business and service purposes, including to:

  • respond to enquiries and support requests;
  • schedule and manage consultations;
  • prepare quotations and discuss potential projects;
  • provide services you request;
  • protect the website and our systems from misuse, fraud and security threats;

Where consent is required, you may withdraw it. In other circumstances, processing may be necessary to respond to your request, take steps toward providing a service, comply with law, or pursue a legitimate business purpose that does not override your rights.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may use trusted service providers to host the website, store information, provide authentication, communications, security or other infrastructure. These providers may process information on our behalf only as needed to provide their services. Our current website infrastructure includes Supabase for database and authentication services and hosting/deployment infrastructure used to run the website.

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, a competent authority, or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety or security.

5. International processing

Some technology service providers may process or store information outside Tanzania, depending on the infrastructure they operate. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we will handle the transfer in accordance with applicable Tanzanian data protection requirements.

6. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to enquiries, managing bookings, providing services, resolving disputes and meeting legal or record-keeping obligations. When information is no longer required, we aim to delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please avoid sending passwords, payment card details or other highly sensitive information through general enquiry fields unless we specifically ask for it through an appropriate secure channel.

8. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including rights to be informed, access information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, request data portability in applicable circumstances, and raise a complaint about how your information is handled.

To make a privacy request, email hello@whysitech.com. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Commission.

9. Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for website functionality, security and authentication. If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this policy and provide any consent controls required by law.

10. Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party services such as WhatsApp or social platforms. Those services have their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies when you leave our website.
